Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Director to lead our sales efforts in the United States market. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a proven track record of leading sales teams, developing long-term customer relationships, and driving growth in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). This role will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will have a significant impact on the company’s expansion goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Leadership: Enforce and execute a unified Go-to-Market strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand Paladin’s market share within the region. Lead a team of sales professionals, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and goals.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, enterprise clients, and strategic partners. Serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts within the region.
- Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities in both existing and untapped markets, with a focus on commercial, industrial, and defense sectors. Oversee regional market analysis to understand customer needs, competitor activity, and emerging trends.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and analytics to senior leadership. Monitor sales performance against targets and take corrective actions where necessary to ensure continued growth.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product offerings and to create effective sales collateral.
- Team Development: Mentor and coach the sales team, driving a high-performance culture. Provide ongoing training and development to enhance team capabilities and product knowledge.
- Negotiation & Deal Closing: Lead high-level negotiations, structuring contracts, and closing deals with large, complex customers.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in Software-as-a-Service, with at least 2+ years in a management role.
- Proven Track Record: Successful experience in managing sales teams, meeting/exceeding sales targets, and closing high-volume deals.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Government Sales process, key players, and trends. Previous experience working with UAV, Public Safety, or Defense customers is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills. Ability to provide concise direction and feedback at all levels of the sales cycle will be critical to success.
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within the region as required (estimated at <10%)
